New Stipulated NCC Guidelines & Rules For Sim Replacement (Sim Swap or Stolen Sim Cards)

Techbmc brings to you the new development in welcoming back your lost or stolen sim card. That is to say that, you are expected to read this update carefuly and follow the NCC rules stipulated out for welcoming back your sim cards.

NCC stipulated out new guides for doing welcome back on stolen sim cards.
That is to say, from now on, sim welcome back cannot be done by the network customer care through phones or call unless you goto their centers at any branch because your presence there is highly needed, reasons best known to them.

NCC Sim Swap requirements


STIPULATED NCC RULES FOR SIM SWAP

==>1.  For you to come to replace your sim that it has to be among the sims registered with registration of telephone subscribers regulation that was on 2011.

==>2. That for you to replace your sim, you must be present or you can go with the option of  authorising a proxy bearing a letter of authority.Except through Online Replacement but through a Secured Portal.  

==>3. For you to replace your sim, that you will have to provide IDENTIFICATION LETTER, VALID PHOTO IDENTIFICATION such will be DRIVER’S LICENCE, NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION CARD, TRADITIONAL RULER IDENTIFICATION LETTER, IDENTIFICATION LETTER FROM RELIGIOUS LEADER and VOTER CARD.

==>4. A customer is  also demanded to show the sim pack of the lost or stolen sim as an evidence to show that he or she is the rightfull owner of that lost sim.
But in a situation where the sim pack cannot be provided due to one reason or the other, an affidavit that will confirm him or her the rightfull ownership must be provided as an evidence.

The NCC stipulated rule concerns all the four major telecom Network in Nigeria. And they are as follow MTN, GLO, ETISALAT and AIRTEL etc. According to the head of legal service involved in NCC,  She said the rules stipulated out for sim swap are made to stop Fraudulent in replacement of sims by individuals.
